About Nancy
If life’s challenges feel overwhelming—causing pain, leaving you feeling stuck, or throwing you off balance—I’m here to help. I provide a warm, friendly, and nonjudgmental environment that fosters healing, growth, and positive change.

I specialize in working with adults, adolescents, and children who have experienced trauma or other difficulties that impact daily functioning. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, fear, anger, grief, shame, guilt, and self-harming behaviors. My work with the Mental Health Association supporting victims of Superstorm Sandy gave me deep insight into helping individuals navigate sudden loss, relationship struggles, financial insecurity, and uncertainty about the future.
I hold a Certificate in Serving Veterans Behavioral Health from the Center for Deployment Psychology, which has provided me with specialized training in military culture and behavioral health issues affecting servicemembers, veterans, and their families. I understand the unique barriers this community faces when seeking support. (See our Hope for Heroes and Services pages.)
I am also certified in LGBTQ+ Affirmative Psychotherapy. My practice is grounded in three guiding principles: Equality, Respect, and Affirmation. Practicing from an affirmative perspective, I celebrate the individuality of each client and focus on their personal strengths. I embrace a positive, affirming view of LGBTQ+ identities and relationships, and work to address the lasting effects of homophobia, transphobia, and heterosexism. I provide compassionate support to adults, children, couples, and families in a welcoming environment that honors and celebrates individuality.
In addition, I have had the privilege of earning the trust of crime victims, helping them cope with the emotional impact of their experiences. Psychological wounds often linger long after physical healing, and victims may struggle with fear, anger, depression, isolation, or helplessness. Together, we work toward restoring a sense of safety, strength, and hope.

Above all, my goal is to support you on your journey toward emotional healing. With unconditional respect and empathy, I believe we can explore, learn—and even laugh—together as you begin a new chapter in your life. If you’re ready to turn the page, I’m here to listen to your story… the rest is still unwritten.
I’ve lived in Monmouth County for over 40 years and am deeply connected to our community. I support causes that protect our beautiful beaches and environment, the arts, animals, and the wellbeing of all who call this area home. (See our Giving Back page under “More.”)

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, cycling, gardening, antiquing, spending time with my family and pets—and occasionally belting out a Broadway tune, no matter how off-key!
